Tour Location
Day one
Kavala, A Northern Greece destination that combines mountain and sea, archaeological tours and exciting trips, cultural activities and tranquility in nature.
Kavala is located 175 km east from Thessaloniki. Kavala has her own airport also (Megas Alexandros) 27 kilometers east. Our base is in the center of the city, where you can find plenty of shops, taverns and accommodation.
You can spend your first night in our base or you can start your sailing adventure by hopping to Thassos island (Limenas port).
Day two
Limenas is a big port with plenty of space for alongside docking. You can visit many beautiful beaches from the North East side of Thasos ( Marble beach, Golden beach, Makryammos beach, Porto Vathy) and swim in the emerald water of the island, before heading to Samothraki.
Day Three
Samothraki is 40 nautical miles southeast of Thassos. The usual north east wind (meltemi) which blows during summer months, makes the sailing conditions perfect. Samothraki has only one port where sailboats can dock, Kamariotissa. To properly explore Samothraki, renting a car and visiting the villages and the waterfalls is a must.
Day Four and five
Third and biggest island is Limnos. 45 nautical miles south of Samothraki, Limnos’ capital and main port is Myrina. In Myrina the yachts are moored with anchors, and sailors can find water, electricity and many shops and taverns around the island. Due to the island’s big distances, we also suggest a car or motorbike rental , to explore the numerous beautiful beaches and sand dunes. There are also many beaches to stay protected from the meltemi such as Thanos beach, Platis gialos and a huge bay with a small port (Moudros), where you can also find protection in the south side of the island. The bay of Moudros is one of the largest natural harbors of the Mediterranean.
Day Six
After the exploration of Limnos, we are sailing back to the west side of Thasos to either Limenaria port, or Aliki bay, or Rosogkremos beach, for an overnight stay under the stars.
This is the longest distance that needs to be sailed , 52 nautical miles. Limenaria is a newer port and the second biggest town of Thassos, where you can find water and many taverns all around, as long as the famous “loukouma” sweets, while Aliki and Rosogkremos , offer a quiet anchoring in crystal waters
Day Seven
The distance between Limenaria and Kavala is 20 nautical miles and from Aliki beach is 30 nautical miles, so you can enjoy the morning before returning to base, swimming and sailing around the area
