Are you a lover of nature?

Are you ready to disable your mobile?

Samothrace is the island for you.

A small island  with big perspectives and unspoiled beauty.

Samothrace hostess the tallest mountain of the Aegean, mount Saos (or Fengari-Moon) and as the legends says ,it’s the place where Poseidon was sitting to watch the distraction of Troy. The attractiveness of this island is based on the hidden waterfalls , the rich vegetation , rivers, mountainous landscape ,thermal springs and the energy that will sweep you off your feet, quite literally.

There are two main towns : Kamariotissa and Chora.  For you and your sailing yacht there are two harbors, the main in Kamariotissa and Therma but also several small bays to anchor.

Chora

The capital of the island,Worth seeing are the small and tightly packed houses. Chora is located at the foot of a hill, almost invisible from the sea. Its Genoese fortress, the three towers a little further down, the narrow streets and the graphic  taverns make this village the most beautiful of the island.

Kamariotissa

Located on the west side of the island. Kamariotissa is pretty green with many hills and trees, the mount Saos as a background and there are several restaurants, coffee shops, banks, post office, supermarket, bakery, greengrocer, pharmacy. The only gas station of the island is on the road from Kamariotissa to Chora. It’s also the center of “nightlife”.

Therma

Therma

Also one of the worth seen villages of the island 7 miles from Kamariotissa. The village is situated on a pebble beach with clear water and a small port. There are healing hot springs, a hidden natural pool with sea view.
